Planet of the Apes Playsets
(1973 - 1975)

Mego made some great playsets for their line of Mego action figures. These are really great for reenacting those great adventures of your favorite Planet of the Apes characters!

Catapult and Wagon

There nothing worse than large balls of ape dung crashing down
from above.

"Hey, dont look at me! I didnt make these things break all the time!"

Suddenly the Astronaut realizes he does not need a lockpick to escape as his entire hand can fit in the keyhole.

Forbidden Zone Trap

I suppose an old Garage building with a Jail Bars for a door isnt warning enough for those crazy Humans!

Fortress

How many apes does it take to fit a Human into a jail cell without a door?

Treehouse

Most of the pieces from this playset is from earlier playsets. Mego really knew how to recycle.

So, I guess these apes would not feel quite so tough if they knew their Treehouse belonged to "Don", Mego's version of Ken.

Village

The four white pieces on the table combine to make a crossbow. Nifty, but, um, I will take the M-16s thank you.

Every part of this playset is also utilized in other Mego playsets. Mego changed the graphics on the sets.
